I understand that we can only have one timed battery charge slot with a first gen inverter. Can anyone recommend a simple home assist app which may be able to bypass this? Thank you

KRM If you subscribe to Wonder Watt it can schedule as many charges or exports as you require just using your single slot. I have been using WW for 15 months very reliable and cost effective.

You can get a 14 day trial to test, and if you use this link you can get a month free if you subsequently subscribe.

Worth mentioning that external agents now also require premium givenergy access in order to access the API. If you use Axle, they will pay for that on your behalf. If you are with Octopus, some tariffs offer a Battery Pack option which fully manages your battery, and will pay for GE premium access on your behalf.

(And Premium access will give you access to GE's own battery scheduler - not sure if that will handle multiple charging events with a single inverter timeslot?)

Using local access avoids the need for premium access, but does require a local computer (or phone) that's on at the time(s) required. Simplest is probably https://givenergymonitor.co.uk/index.html running on a dedicated Android tablet/phone.

if you're technically confident, a new toy is https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/7312-cheap-local-esp32-interfaces-in-home-display-etc - that seems to have a schedule button, so maybe it can help.

DD the new toy does indeed have a scheduler both on the screen and in it's own local portal.
