Hi, really interested in having a system installed but how do I find a local company who is familiar with these products? I’m based in South Wales and there seems to be no one around here according to the installers map.

HomerJay my daughter lives in Cardiff and they took up the offer from Eon of a Givenergy system installed with 0% finance. They used a local contractor for the work.

Thanks for the map thing. Sadly I tried 2 out of 3 of those last week and they couldn’t even be bothered to return a phone call. I’ve just emailed the third one.

Right now any installer that is any good will be too busy to take on new customers. Not surprised that they are ignoring telephone enquiries.
Send them an email. Include your address and postcode so they can see that you are local. State your current annual electricity consumption in kWh. Include a what3words link showing the roof of your property. Attach photographs of your smart meter, your roof, and your consumer unit.
For every install they can do, they are probably getting 10+ enquiries. Make your enquiry stand out like you would a CV for a job.

I live in South Wales on M4 corridor, I have just had an install, and whilst i wouldn't recommend the firm that did the work, I would recommend the installer they sub contracted...Call Tony Collimore REV Solutions on 07852 752762
He was top notch, really cared and installed my panels and 2 x 5.2Kw batteries

Yeah, plenty of people saying that the prices are vat free but strangely all the prices they’re quoting are the same as the inc VAT prices.. hmm, I wonder where the ‘vat’ element is going..

Yeah i noted that too when i was getting a quote a few months ago. I could hiy the 10ke panels they quoted, 2x 10kw batteries, 2x 5kw hybrids and a fat reel of cable for about 15k inc VAT at regular joe prices. I was quoted 25k for the install all on whoch consodering there would be no vat and theyd vet better prices than me seemed high.
