My system has been working very well for 6 weeks and now this week my DCMCB has started to trip. GivEnergy have advised it may be a poor termination of the MCB. Has anybody had this issue? I have been waiting on my installer getting back to me to run checks. Tripped 3 times in the past week. Battery is on but as the route to the inverter has tripped it is not operational.
DCMCB tripping?

I had the same issue but since nothing gives you warning it once sat for 6 weeks bit working.
One I had got replaced, the other on another system just stopped doing it. They get very panicy if you stsrt resetting it as they sat that it's tripped for a reason.
dbt85 what was replaced?
I had that issue - started throwing DC Bus errors, then tripped out. It was a poor connection into the DCMCB, the heat from which affected the breaker. I tightened it myself and since then, no issues. Luckily I caught it before any permanent damage was done.
If you don't feel competent to do this yourself, then any sparky would be able to, you don't need to wait on your installer. Just turn off the battery(s) and isloate the inverter before working on it.

Have your installer check the connections for nipped insulation. Unless 100% copper in the clamp it will overheat and trip

Rodmac76 Just the MCB itself. The other one just got over itself it seems.
I had that twice from a "Platinum" installer - first time one of the 4 termination points was not tightened at all!
It was replaced but 6 months later same thing and as TheDragon stated they had clipped some of the insulation causing the heat and the same issue again!
To be honest - I then replaced myself and no issues since!
Likewise, persistent DC MCB tripping issue here.
I powered down/isolated everything/ turned battery off (even wore welding gloves) before checking the cable connections to the MCB.
One of the cable clamps on the battery side was looser than expected. I've had no tripping issues since tightening to the correct torque. Beats me why it was so loose?!?! Poor installation maybe?!?!?
The only issue I have now are BMS overvoltage notifications :-(

One of the biggest oxymorons quoted by contractors/installers in my experience was "snag free handover".
