Inverter clicking, battery flat

Hello, I've just noticed that my inverter is making all sorts of clicking noises at the moment, my battery ran down to 4% today at about 630pm as sun has been rubbish and had a %drop the day before so have just been drawing from the grid.

The lightning symbol on the front is turning on/off green, I'm pretty sure its normally solid?

I've isolated the battery and it has now stopped. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest this shouldn't be doing this but would appreciate everyone elses thoughts if possible. My plan is to switch the battery back on once the sun shows its face tomorrow morning (hopefully!!)

Ra clicking is never a good sign.
It may just be exceptionally flat owing to the SOC bug but if Facebook is anything to go by (which I hate using as a yardstick) then you may well have the click of death which is new circuit board time…

hoggy Thats what I thought, luckily I noticed it before I went to bed! I've switched the battery back on and the clicking has stopped, the light on the front of the inverter is now solid green (is it because I am now generating a tiny amount of energy?)

Touch wood its not terminal 🙁 otherwise that may well be the final nail in the coffin!

Interestingly or not, even though I isolated the battery, looking at the inverter data it still registered a voltage from the battery of 5.64V at midnight tapering down to 1.25V at 7am this morning.

Any ideas whats going on there!?

Ra yeah they all do that. You can measure 5V across the inverter battery terminals with nothing attached.
I assumed this was what the inverter outputs to wake up the battery BMS (much better for the battery to talk back “I’m here” rather than the inverter just assume somethings on the other end and push out 50V)
It’s a handy way to identify a DC breaker trips from the portal (if battery voltage is <10V it’s tripped)
