I just got a Gen2 Inverter installed today so that I could use wired LAN rather than Wifi for security reasons.
It's all working fine via LAN, but the configuration Wifi network is still happily broadcasting an open SSID. My question is how do I deactivate the Wifi entirely?
My second question is why my charge/discharge power is showing as 3,200 W rather than 3,600 W?

Try changing/discharge power in the portal and see if 3600W is selectable there. There are dip switches for WiFi/LAN selection. Maybe these have not been set correctly?
What battery pack(s) have you got. The smaller ones will be limited in amps available.
Givenergy generally limit packs output power to half their energy capacity e.g 5.2kWh pack = 2.6kW power output.
hoggy thanks for the response – I have an 8.2kWh one though so I think I should be seeing 3600.

It has been known for installers to tick the wrong box on commissioning - the system doesn’t auto interrogate the packs as to what they are
(Your power value kind of matches with an old 6.3kWh pack they don’t make anymore)
hoggy Yep, looks like you're on the money – it says "125 Ah | 6.40 kWh | (1 Pack)". How would I go about getting that changed?

are you sure that is correct? i have a 9.5kwh battery and gen 1 inverter and im limited to 2600 to/from battery but im getting a gen 2 inverter fitted which will give me 3600 to/from battery.. im also adding a 5.2 battery which will daisy chain from the 9.5.. id be very disappointed if adding the 5.2 drags down by throughput to the batteries from 3600 to 2600..
michaelmcgoldrick Don't worry it's cumulative, so only the 5.2 on it's own would cause you to be rate limited. They don't drag each other down so you'd get full output.
Basically for Gen 2 so long as your installed capacity of batteries (made up of any different size packs) is beyond 7.2kWh (double the inverters max discharge rate) you should be able to max out charge/discharge.
hoggy We've resolved this now. Turned out the battery comms cable was shorted in the rj45 jack, resulting in no communications with the BMS. Once this was rectified, the battery charged itself and the battery capacity updated to 160 Ah | 8.19 kWh | (1 Pack) without further intervention.
