I've just had a gen 3 inverter installed. The WiFi signal is a bit intermittent and unreliable. I can easily run an ethernet cable to it. Or I have a WiFi extender if I can change the network the inverter connects to.

Are either/both of these something I can do myself?

I've read some posts here about changing switches and settings to disable WiFi for LAN connection.

I can't find a setting to change the ssid for the WiFi.

The installer needs to come back at some point to sort the EPS anyway so I can get them to look at it then but if it's as simple as plugging in a cable +/- changing some settings perhaps I can sort it quicker than that.

Cheers

The Wifi on my gen 3 is provided by a dongle. It appears on my Wifi as HF-261 and serves a web page locally. I found the login and password was the default Admin / Admin, so I logged in and changed it. There are settings pages and the STA page had my Wifi SSID and password in plain text, so they can be changed there.

Can't you just unplug the dongle or is it actually a built in Wifi? My documentation pack says it is a dongle but I haven't actually seen one.

nophead Gen3 has an inbuilt wifi dongle which is a pain to switch off !
