How do I update the Wifi password for my Inverter after updating my Broadband?
New Broadband Router - Update Inverter?
The easiest way is to use the SSID and password from your old router.
That way any devices accessed my wifi whole be connected.
If you use the new SSID and password, you will have to change all your devices to use these settings.
If you have to use the new SSID and password you will have to access the inverters local settings.

If I change to a fibre router, I may not have the option to alter the SSID and password. But because I am currently using a mains TP-Link wifi extender in the garage, I'm hoping that that will connect to the new router and my connection to GivEnergy will remain undisturbed. Fingers crossed...
There have been quite a few threads on this topic recently. It looks like a lot of folk are changing providers or want to use their own 3rd party routers/mesh network.
What you are able to do may depend on your provider. Some are easier than others.
Take a look at this:

It would be useful if you told us your old broadband provider, the new provider, and whether you are intending to use your own wifi devices. Also, are you on fibre now and, if so, what is your ONT that connects the fibre into your house. Mine is from Openreach.
A wifi extender is going to extend the wifi from your main router. So if SSID and password change there, they will also change on the wifi extender.

Except. Some extenders are both through the mains AND have a radio and therefore an SSID locally that will remain at its previous name no matter what the new ISP and router provide. I have a system like this for my TV - still has SSID of two ISPs ago. Too tedious to change.
The_Engineer Thanks for this and some new info for me.
It all depends on the setup! If at all possible, you want to keep your current wifi SSID and password.

Thanks Rob, I did fi

Post #6 could sort it out. I haven't tried this myself but could be worth asking @AMCM in that thread as he had success with his method.
