Any advice much appreciated. system has worked flawlessly for over 2 years. When sorting out an issue with my EV charger. GE support advised to reset the dongle. After that it isn't broadcasting a WIFI signal to phone, laptop or router. So i cant communicate with it in anyway to get it set up again,
I have literally tried anything. It looks to me like it has bricked. GE just direct me towards an installer to sort
G-dog your installer could sort it out or you could buy a new dongle yourself, trade sparky sell them.
You will need to plug it into a PC and edit a file (MSN I think) to change the serial number of the dongle to your old one as the portal needs to recognise that - there’s other posts on here about how to do that
geoffreycoan My installer is about 70 miles away so probably a last resort. Might just buy one for a fast resolution. I assume they are not covered by 10 year warranty?

G-dog they probably are covered by warranty, but for £37 plus postage, it’s hardly worth the time you’d spend waiting for warranty agreement….

Just an update for those searching similar dongle issue. My installers replacement dongle finally arrived today. Plugged it in and set up no problem. Glad it turned out to be was a corrupt / faulty dongle.
