Hi folks,
I was thinking of trying to disable the ssid my gen 2 inverter is transmitting. I'm just worried it I need to change config in the future would it be very awkward? Can you plug a lan cable in with a laptop if stuck? I'm assuming the ssid can be switched off?
Thanks
Mick

I have switched ours off. If I visit the IP address of the inverter on our wireless network then I can log in and change settings in exactly the same way as if I had connected to the Access Point the dongle creates.
Recovery for our equipment would be to reset the dongle but that wouldn't necessarily apply to different models.

How did you switch off? I see a setting for hide ssid?

I just hide my SSID and set a password on the access wifi the dongle creates.

It stops casual connections but means it’s easy to reconnect to the inverter should I need to do so in the future. One of the key reasons you might need to connect is if you change your broadband provider and find your inverter isn’t connected to the wifi any more.
